I’m a big fan of the AF1 so even though I tried to resist, I eventually had to pick up these Nike Air Force 1 Hong Kong. These came out originally in 2001 as part of an Air Force 1 “B” Series featuring unique design elements.
In this case, the hollow, stitched swoosh is the standout difference. Original pairs of these go for thousands of dollars in the aftermarket, and now we finally have an easily obtainable retro.
I would sport these with either khakis, black pants or some dark blue denim. Although these shoes have somewhat of a fall look to them, they can still work in summer and spring depending on how light of a top you match these with.
How Are The Materials?
While these aren’t extremely buttery, the leather is decent in my opinion. Overall the quality seems a bit better than a GR pair of AF1 and definitely worth the price these are going for currently. Overall I think materials fiends will not be blown away exactly, but will be sufficiently placated by the materials here.
How Do They Fit?
These Nike Air Force 1 Hong Kong have a big fit like most AF1s. I tried a full size down and it works, so I would recommend at least a half size down. The all-white midsole & outsole does give these a rather “tall” look, so going down in size will cut down on the bulkiness overall. I found the shape on these to be pretty good too, less boxy than other pairs I’ve seen recently.
I’m really liking the fact that I now own these. Price and rarity definitely made these not even an option in the past, but thanks to apparent overproduction, these are now widely available and I’m glad to finally bring this colorway home.
